Thread: North Carolina Challenge

Just a reminder that the NCC is Sept 24-26 (Fri-Sun), with inspections and Captains meeting on the 23rd  (Thurs evening). 

 

Reasons why you should participate:

1 – A 50 and a 100 miler, great distances to help get ready for a larger event.

2 – Chiefs new amas will be there.

3 - A chance to meet some Tribers you've always wanted to meet.

4 - Another opportunity for Elders to visit.

5 – The 100 mi route will be part of next years 300 mile event, familiarity is an advantage.

6 – New WaterTribe t-shirts in different colors.

7 – The NCC banquet has better food then the ECs

8 – I’ll be lots of fun.

I don't know what we'll pass out if it turns out hot,  Maybe I get a cooler full of....cold drinks.  But if it is the normal cold and stormy I'll have twice as much hot chocolate this year.

I resent that remark about the food :) But having had the pleasure of feasting at the hotel, I know it's true. The food is great and I can't wait to get up there again.

Dawn,

I was waiting until I had the boat and body at 100%. But, as we all know that is a pipe dream. Something will always brake, somethings will never be just right. Thank you for giving me that last incentive to commit. As this is my first time, I am looking forward to meeting  all the Watertribe members. The wind and the tides wait for no man...

I'm not so sure about the food as an incentive, but the people are a great time.

Providing my work schedual complies, i will be there.  Will know by mid Auguest.
