THE TRIP

Day 1   Leave Flamingo around mid morning and paddle 10 or so miles to E Cape. (Ground site) I have seen this in my 1st EC but never explored it.

Day 2 NW Cape, 10-15 miles. (Ground site.) a little longer day as I would like to go thru little Cape Sable creek (still a short distance.) and camp where the tree line ends.Great swimming.

Day 3   Joe river a 17 mile trip and could be against a lot of current. A Chickee. Can handle at least four. With friends a lot more.

Day 4 back to Flamingo around 18 miles.

I can give advice on clothes and bugs. Even so you will still be miserable at night.

Must be able to carry at least 12 gallons of water.

Milage sounds easy. It will hurt you this time of the year and there is no bail out.

If you have not paddled in this area in the summer before you can not belive the heat and the bugs.

 Any class welcome. Some can do part or all. Class 4 can enjoy the Cape.

This will be done sometime between July26 and August the 18h.

It will be very hot even at night. The bugs will be awesome. The small snook will also be awesome along the outside beaches.

Anyone froggy!

Maybe the Tribe should schedule the EC in the summer to make it a "real" challenge for "real" men and women.

Paddle the midwest, with over 25,000 lakes and rivers is a 300 mile radius of Wisconsin; paddle the wisconsin river and be cool and collected, hand blender and rum optional; Casa Weber's Brewery tour and the best steaks you have ever had, bar none "just ask Manitou";

Now I would jump in on Toby's Trip, but I've heard bango music down there this time of year. :-)
