3/7/2004 11:30:00 PMMade mistake of taking outside route at start. Came inside at Longboat Pass only to be socked in when fog arrived. Decided not to dodge power boats so turned in early. Looking forward to northwest wind, going to try to make Marco tonight.

3/10/2004 1:25:00 AMAre we having fun yet! Heavy seas, windy, cold - it doesn't get better than this. Glad I am finally here.
CP3, 273 Miles
Flamingo
3/12/2004 8:35:00 AMTook Wilderness route which was awesome. Some tides worked to my advantage others didn't. Head winds on Whitewater Bay caused me to go through the night delaying arrival. Have had 3 hours sleep since leaving CP2 so will rest a few hours before pushing on to finish.

3/13/2004 1:16:00 PMThese challenges keep getting better. Despite the brutal headwinds & 7 foot waves each day the positive far out weigh the negative. Special thanks to Jimmy at Tackle Shack & Hobie for the terrific support.
