Class 1 - Expedition Kayaks and Canoes
Class 2 - Racing Kayaks and Canoes
Class 3 - Sailing Kayaks and Canoes
Class 4 - Small Sailboats - (2001-2008) monohulls, cats, tris
Class 4 - Monohull Sailboats - (As of 2009) monohulls
Class 5 - Multihull Sailboats - (As of 2009) cats, tris
Size Filter - All boats must launch from above the
high water mark without outside assistance.
This Challenge is an expediton style adventure race for kayaks, canoes, and small sailboats. The time limit is 8 days but the winners will do it in 3 to 4 days. The distance is 260 to 300 miles depending on your course.

3/10/2004 3:45:00 AMFollowing sea and tail wind yesterday. It was great. Spent night on Indian Key. Left there at 02:00. In with tide. Easy paddle this a.m. Will leave there about daylight with tide. Kon Tiki met and chatted with us at Wiggins Pass. Brought cold beer. Took our trash and gave us info on where to camp. Thanks Kon Tiki. 3/11/2004 4:15:00 PMDenise is getting a shower so she is happy. I'm going to eat at the Flamingo Restaurant so I am happy. We are tired but there were no rooms at the motel so we'll probably head to Key Largo after supper tonight.
