Fort Desoto | 3/6/2004 | |
CP1, 67 Miles Grande Tours | 3/7/2004 11:57:00 AM | Adverse winds, thick fog all night with no wind. Paddled all night. |
CP2, 174 Miles Chokoloskee | 3/8/2004 12:24:00 PM | Wild sail, 22 hours from Placida. Greybeard did a great job at helm.
Balough and Kruger gear held up under extreme strain. Ridgerunner was deck monkey. Plenty of sleep underway. |
CP3, 273 Miles Flamingo | 3/9/2004 3:17:00 AM | |
Finish, 303 Miles Key Largo | 3/9/2004 12:59:00 PM | We had another great sail from Flamingo, at least that's what RidgeRunner says, I slept most of the way. The wind died about 5 miles from the finish giving us a chance to demonstrate the strength of our sailing canoe, its ability to be paddled. GreyBeard |
