Class 4 - Small Sailboats - (2001-2008) monohulls, cats, tris
Class 4 - Monohull Sailboats - (As of 2009) monohulls
Class 5 - Multihull Sailboats - (As of 2009) cats, tris
Size Filter - All boats must launch from above the
high water mark without outside assistance.
This Challenge is an expediton style adventure race for kayaks, canoes, and small sailboats. The time limit is 8 days but the winners will do it in 3 to 4 days. The distance is 260 to 300 miles depending on your course.

Fort Desoto3/6/2004For years we did long trips with sailing Klepper boats and then we moved to a Sea Pearl 21 eight years ago. We are looking forward to talking to the others in the race and seeing the other boats.

3/11/2004 9:30:00 AMAlmost made it last night but ran aground and slept until tide - 6 miles away. Fabulous sail before the wind from Everglades City. Stopped for sightseeing in Rabbit Key. Nice place to spend a week.

3/12/2004 9:45:00 PMWonderful rowing trip through Florida Bay to Cfrocodile Dragover to where we set sail at dragover. Two rowing stations moved us on. Beautiful seascape, fabulous birds, tricky navigation.
