Dear Chief,
My jib has 69 sq ft and has a quick dousing system. Does it need to have reefing points?,
Thanks,

Here is the Reefing Rule regarding Headsails:
Headsails may use roller furling, roller reefing and/or dousing system that can be safely and efficiently
operated from the cockpit or main trampoline.
So a usable dousing system is OK. However, a roller reefing system for headsails can be very convenient. But it is up to you which one works best for your vessel.

So, to be sure, I have a 50 sq ft jib, I will have 3 jib sails, I plan on reducing sail area by changing sails to 34 sq ft and then 18 sq ft. OK?

That might be OK. First, how easy is it to douse the sail? Once the sail is down, how easy is it to add a new sail. Consider that the whole reason for reefing is higher winds and bigger seas,
As a new WaterTriber, you will be asked to demonstrate this process during your inspection. If you make it look easy, you will be OK.
